Guest
Hey Im new to MTA but its al self explanitory, but I have no idea were to start making a dedicated server. I understand by opening MTAserver.exe you can make a dedicated server and join it through the client, but I do not understand how you join as admin etc and how to set up the dedicated server properties like port, admin port, password, admin password, name, welcom message!! etc. I tryed opening MTAServerConfigTool.exe but i get an error: System error &H80070583 (-2147023485). I opened up MTAServerConfigTool.exe.manifest in notepad but I didnt change anything because I didnt understand it! Please help BTW I cant find a tutorial or anything on it, maybe you should make one Link to comment
orappa
There's been a bit of confusion. The .manifest file is meant to be deleted in order to get the config program working and the mtaserver.conf file is meant to be opened in Notepad. There is a utility included that you can use to log in as admin or alternatively you can use the more popular mIRC addon, MTAMA. It is available from http://www.aeron.tk . You will also need mIRC, available from http://www.mirc.com Link to comment
Guest
Hey thanks for your help. I just need to know what the difference between admin and admin+ is. It seems to me if you just log in as admin and not admin+ you can do the same things like changing time and weather, whats up with this? Link to comment
Slothman
admin+ acxtually has more features that can be used, but it takes more data (as much data as another player). if you dont need to use admin+ features, just stick with admin. Link to comment
Guest
no it doesnt, if i log on as admin+ i have the same features as admin, are the extras to do with console commands? Link to comment
MrJax
The extra data admin+ recieves is things like player coords(x,y,z), health, and vehicle/on-foot. Link to comment
orappa
The Admin+ information is more of use to people creating their own scripts. Link to comment
