Leviathan
How will the MTA-team do the weapon skill system? All on hitman? all on poor, or gangster? or let the player choose (spend skill points) or each gang has it's own hitman weapons (like in mta:vc the sailor with m4, police with shotgun etc) or balance out the weapons, giving the strong weapons gangster skill and the weaker weapons hitman skill... So how do you guy's work the weapon system out? Link to comment
njr1489
It should start from poor and then you work your way up. This could be a sort of level system. Link to comment
eAi
As we've said, it'll be up to the mods. They can use the skill system how they want, you could be able to buy skill, or get it for killing X people or whatever. Link to comment
Leviathan
would you gain skills faster than in SP? otherwise it will take a long time since there are no peds in mp to shoot at. And if you disconnect you'll lose your skills hehe gr8... Link to comment

eAi
Theres no such thing as a non-mod server. Link to comment
Leviathan
ok that eliminates all my questions... Link to comment
TempEcho
Theres no such thing as a non-mod server. That really confuses me. Isn't it possible to just install the MTA Blue dedicated server and , like , run it , without having to mod anything? I think that giving weaker weapons hitman skill and strong weapons poor skill is a good idea. And if you kill 20 persons or so , your skill improves... I hope modding that wont be that hard... njr1489
Theres no such thing as a non-mod server. So this means there won't be a synced deathmatch server without mods? That would suck. Link to comment
Leviathan
example: YAY MTA:SA has finally been realeased! let's play it!!!! (going crazy) oh no... we first have to mod it before we can play. can't the MTA-team include a basic deathmatch mod? Link to comment
Black Dragon
err no. they will provide you with an initial deathmatch mode, that is A MOD ITSELF. Link to comment
TempEcho
Yeah , afcource I know MTA is a mod and mods for it would be modmods , but you know what I mean. Anyways , its a whole peace of hearth that i can just host without modding it myself Link to comment
njr1489
err no. they will provide you with an initial deathmatch mode, that is A MOD ITSELF. So then we can mod that mod, as in change spawns lol. I'm thinking about changing spawns to 0.3 style lol. Link to comment
eAi
You can make a mod that changes almost any part of MTA. The server won't run without a mod, just like a halflife server won't run without a mod. Link to comment
[VCM]Mafia
Hmn, is it posible to pack the MTA SDK into an ActiveX? I personally hate ActiveX , but one thing they are good for is being compadible with almost all OO languages. This would be an awsome feature, allowing programmers to use their favorite language (VB, Delphi, C++, ect...). Link to comment
eAi
You might be able to write a com component interface, but its not somthing we're going to look at. It'd be a huge job, the SDK gives you access to thousands of functions - each of which would need to be wrapped. It might be quite neat if someone could do it, but I'm not sure if its really worth it. Link to comment
Leviathan
Then I'll wish y'all good luck with making the SDK Link to comment
