Do you mean your server stops once you close the SSH console (e.g. putty)?

If so, you'd have to use either screen (https://www.rackaid.com/blog/linux-screen-tutorial-and-how-to/) or deploy a systemd service (https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/systemd).
