I just got San Andreas today on computer and after the first two intro's the game just closes automatically, ive gotten a program 3D Analyzer and it helps me get passed and able to play the game... Also i've noticed theres alot of people that have had the same problem... Am I and others in my situation goin to be able to use MTA SA?? Or will we have to wait and see if Rockstar Games or someone releases a patch to fix this...

Crashes to desktop can often be caused by older graphics card drivers. My machine crashes whenever I change graphics settings in the menu because I have old drivers and whenever I download the latest driver set, it accuses me of not having an Nvidia graphics chip when I have....

Anyway, to answer your question, anything that affects the operation of single player is likely to affect the operation of multiplayer.

You could still try updating your drivers. I managed to get past that little problem yesterday by downloading modified drivers that actually recognised by card, and the SA problem when changing graphics settings disappeared.
