erorr404
Are there currently motherboards that support both PCI-E and AGP? If so, are there any high performance ones that have this dual support? And will there be any good motherboards in the future (about 6 months to a year from now) that still support AGP? The reason I am asking this is because I am planning on buying a new, high-end, AGP video card. I would buy a PCI-E one but my current motherboard (an old SiS 648 chipset one) only supports AGP8X. So when it comes time to upgrade my aging motherboard, I want the new one to still support my AGP video card. Thanks in advance. Link to comment

I just bought a PCI-E mobo aswell - AGP is still around tho, and will be for a while i reckon. Link to comment
njr1489
I think PCI express is 16x better than the regular one. AGP is good. For now I think you should stay with it until there are dual AGP and PCIE motherboards if its not out yet. Link to comment
