Gostown continued development

Back round info on gostown. -

Back in 2009~ gostown was a largely popular for SA. There were a few revisions, final put it as a huge jungle island, with a city atop of it. But then all work for sanAndreas was dumped, and they moved to IV. And from what It seams. IV project was dumped.

Continued Work -

Few months back, I was trying to come up with some ideas for server. That's when I found gostown. (Description above) Incomplete, missing alot of things and really not really playable. So I took it onto myself to continue development. And basicly make it something everyone would enjoy.

What's different ? -

- All missing land chunks fixed

- Missing textures fixed

- Trees redone. Higher quality

- Converted to multiplayer

- New buildings added

- New lights added

- New locations around the map to explore

- Interiors added to already existent interiors

- Better LODs

- Somethings re-textured entirely

- More --

I wonder how you keep the process of loading/streaming custom models to be really that stable, that the models won't loose their collision/textures/etc. I was trying to convert Myriad Islands mod to MTA and never achieved something similar to this, it looked like crap and models started to loose their collision after a while. Judging by your screenshots you got lots of models streamed at once, even with LODs. Holy cow.

The nightly build of MTA helps some with the LODS.

But as for all of the textures and what not, have a custom built loading system for this. But due to how it is set up, it would work for any map if that maps ipls were converted correctly. Would just then have to define all of the TXDs DFFs and COLs

I can attempt to convert your map if you want. I have a full loading system and what not set up.
