i need help hosting a server by myself.

since i'm a complete noob to mta, can you please help me?

1. can you host a server just by clicking "host server" and making it public?

2. can i import custom gta san andreas player skins and use them for mta?

You should start by reading the wiki https://wiki.multitheftauto.com/

Also you can host it locally by running the server file, but if you plan to do this don't forget to port forward.

I would suggest you to start learning LUA and how to administrate a Linux/Windows server.

That "host server" button is like a quick server for if you wanted to play a quick game with a friend or siblings in your household.

But if you do want to have a server up even when you're not in MTA and want others on MTA to visit it, I would suggest doing what Witch said.

actually not , you mus have VPS or do Port Forwarding to make your server show in public
