Dretax
I see traces in the github, where python and java is getting added. Is this for real? Finally we can see Python plugins running on MTA instead of crappy lua? https://github.com/multitheftauto/mtasa ... 9cdb090095 https://github.com/multitheftauto/mtasa ... arch?utf8=✓&q=java https://github.com/multitheftauto/mtasa ... arch?utf8=✓&q=python I saw the commits where It was pushed in Sept. I'm excited seeing this. When are you guys planning to release the full functional builds? Link to comment
ixjf
No, that's never going to happen. These commits are related to a vendor library used by the mod. Link to comment

MTA Team sbx320 Posted December 27, 2015 MTA Team Share Posted December 27, 2015 The files you found on Github are mostly in the Vendor subfolder of the MTA source. The Vendor subfolder is used for third party components (Libraries/Code not written by us) like Lua and in this case especially Google Breakpad (used for Crashdumps on Linux). These libraries sometimes use other programming languages for build environments or support for other languages. There are no plans to add another scripting language. Link to comment
vx89
Lua is OK language. Think if we had to use php instead. You could however use javascript now as well though I wouldnt recommend it for reason just to avoid Lua. Link to comment
Noki
I don't understand why everyone wants support for different languages. Is it the better in-built libraries and flexibility that comes with a language like Python? Or the familiarity of syntax in the case of JS (curly braces, ++, etc)? Edit: I realized I answered my own question. Link to comment
