MTA:SA Not Detecting Downgrade?

So, I downloaded MTA:SA recently and I downgraded my GTA:SA and all that. By the way, I'm using the Steam version. Anyway, I followed what this guide said, ( http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/f ... =472116988 ) , and I downgraded it correctly and all that, but MTA:SA didn't detect that I did so.

Any help would be appreciated.

Try renaming gta-sa.exe to gta_sa.exe

If that doesn't help, reinstall the steam version and run the MTA:SA installer from http://www.multitheftauto.com

(The installer should automatically downgrade the steam version (as long as it hasn't been modified))

Cool, wow, it's working. (Renamed gta-sa.exe to gta_sa.exe) . Thanks alot, was really hoping I could play this tonight.
