Or is Blue just going to be a "add-on" for 0.4.5? What will the next released version be? Blue or 0.4.5? Mr.TempEcho
Mike Posted December 1, 2004 Posted December 1, 2004 0.4.5 is the newer version of 0.4.1 (duh..) and is mainly bugfixing etc. (and a few new features, e.g: skins etc. in GTA3). This will be released way before blue (i think...). Blue is the completely new core, re-done from scratch and is only for VC at the moment, so 0.4.x will still be used for a while (or forever if Blue is not made for GTA3).

Your answer is just what mike said... 0.4.5 is some duct tape patched on what we all want to be the old version and old core. It will have untold improvements to Vice City and GTA3 with the next island in GTA3 opened up to run separately from Portland as it's own server Blue is the new core on which version 0.5? will be based most likely. This is a dual track project at this point that is why you see two progress meters
