orappa
You can't run it off a webhost. Link to comment
Boffin
Someone was telling me you just put the files on the host and then used telnet to execute it but I may be wrong. Link to comment
TempEcho
you are all wrong , you can run it off your webhost if it supports running executable sand "keeping them running" and if they support port forwarding to your server IP (which is higly unlikely BTW.) . You should be able to upload the Linux server to them via sll and executing it. Please ask your webhost for details. Link to comment

I just meant that I couldn't imagine many hosting companies being in favour of the idea. Link to comment
TempEcho
then you are right , if youw ant good speeds and all , you better check out a real MTA host like Woije or something. http://www.wojjie.net/gaming.php Link to comment

MTA Team Blokker_1999 Posted October 25, 2004 MTA Team Share Posted October 25, 2004 btw, this question has been asked and answered in the past. Running of a webhost is impossible. As the name says : a webhost is to host websites. What you need to run MTA is shell access to a Linux server. And that's expensive. Link to comment
TempEcho
but not impossible if you have the money. Link to comment

TempEcho
YOU can't. Cpanel is just a gui for your webserver. You can't start MTA with it. Link to comment
