Guest Posted September 28, 2004 Posted September 28, 2004 Alright, just got MTA and installed it, and set everything up... tried running it, then BAM! Unhandled exception: c0000005 00652f30 One thing that may be the problem is my no cd crack, but I find that unlikely... is it?
l2ebel Posted September 28, 2004 Posted September 28, 2004 the nocd shouldnt be a problem do this: copy all the .gxt files in your gtavc\TEXT folder exept of american.gxt and put them into your gtavc\MTA folder
Guest Posted September 28, 2004 Posted September 28, 2004 You're right, I tried it w/o the crack and it still had the unhandled exception... time to try your method.
Guest Posted September 28, 2004 Posted September 28, 2004 Well now it starts up but when I click "Start MTA" the loading bar goes about 95% of the way, stops, then BAM! Another unhandled exception. Dang. Any further advice?
SM xenex Posted September 28, 2004 Posted September 28, 2004 Change the game version when you are connected to the server to the other in , if its 1.0 change it to 1.1 if its the 1.1 change it to 1.0 The game version box is upper right corner of the client.
Gamefreek Posted September 28, 2004 Posted September 28, 2004 Change the version in the upper right hand corner of the client, if that doesnt work go to your "GTA Vice City user files" folder (found in your My Documents folder) and delete the gta_vc.set file.
Guest Posted September 29, 2004 Posted September 29, 2004 Sigh... got a new problem... I put the no-cd crack back in, and it unhandled exceptioned once, probably because the crack is 1.0 and I had it set to 1.1. But when I tried to change it, it was greyed out, and when I clicked config, it said "you dont have your path set" so... I clicked reset game path and all it said was "you need to restart for changes to take effect"... sigh...
orappa Posted September 29, 2004 Posted September 29, 2004 You can only change it once you're connected to a server, which is why it was greyed out.
Guest Posted September 30, 2004 Posted September 30, 2004 I see... that's kinda stupid, though. It works, and that's all that matters though. Thanks for your help, everyone! One more question though... will MTA work with texture mods?
SM xenex Posted September 30, 2004 Posted September 30, 2004 One more question though... will MTA work with texture mods? Not at this moment no, The blue core will be moddable to an extent , how much and if what you want will be possible , we have to wait and see. Have Fun.
