Hey guys, I was thinking of a new house system, something Cool, like sims 4 or something...

Like when you go to a house building place or real estate or some construction company, you give an option build home, then you get a camera in the sky, and you see down in the streets there will be empty spaces if not occupied by people.. and yeah when u bring mouse near an unoccupied area, it draws a 3D text, "build" and then, when u click there, it shows a custom GUI and it asks you to select which house style you want and you clikc build house, then voila, u lose money and you get a Good house of your choice in your place :D

is it good? anyway, someone else has to make the databases for that.. it will be open source. but I'll make many spaces for that...

do u like this?

The idea is nice and it's perfectly doable, I even have some ideas for making modular building a reality, with snapping - but I have more important things to work on before I get to that.

I'd suggest you look into SQL, it's not too hard to get into. If you can make scripts for Lua, you can learn how to manage a SQL database.

Well the issue with this is, first there is barley any houses that will fit in every location, you would have to define the houses that go in the few hundred areas or so, and from what I see you want it automated, meaning you need to make it right direction, height, location in general, you'd have to worry about driveways and what not. Removing of the objects in the location will have to be removed correctly. Shall I continue?

But other then those few 'small' issues by all means continue.
