Server on Windows 2000 & Client on Windows XP or vice versa

Hello, I have three computers. 2 have Win 2000 and 1 has Win XP.

I have installed MTA servers and clients (ver 0.4.1) on both Win 2000 machines. MTA runs correctly on them both. But in Win XP (using MTA client 0.4.1) the player is invisible to others on Map and Pysically also.

I have GTA VC 1.1 with no mods/trainers. I have tried reinstalling everything. I have to install Win XP on the 3rd PC because Win 2000 doesnt install on it.

Can I run a server on Win 2000 and client on Win XP or vice versa.

use vice city version 1.0, this could help

Version 1.1 isn't a necessary patch. It fixes graphical corruption that some people had with 1.0, but if you didn't have that, you don't need it.
