..:D&G:.. Posted February 8, 2015 Posted February 8, 2015 Hello guys, I am trying to make a server on my CentOS vps but I get the following errors: Anyone know what's wrong and how to fix it? Thank you.
MTA Team ccw Posted February 8, 2015 MTA Team Posted February 8, 2015 There is a CentOS guide here: https://forum.multitheftauto.com/viewtopic.php?f=106&t=71159 However, I'm not sure that will help you. A solution would be to change to Debian.
Renkon Posted February 8, 2015 Posted February 8, 2015 GLIBC is a dependency and is not on your system http://rpmfind.net/linux/rpm2html/searc ... IBC_2.6%29 Download it for your centos and use rpm -Uvh package
Tomas Posted February 8, 2015 Posted February 8, 2015 (edited) You will have many problems between CentOS and MTA, I recommend you to switch to Ubuntu or Debian. Edited February 8, 2015 by Guest
Anubhav Posted February 8, 2015 Posted February 8, 2015 You will have many problems between CentOS and MTA, I recommend you switch to Ubuntu or Debian. True dat.. If you want modules buy x32. I'm so unfortunate I bought a x64 Ubuntu.

MTA Team ccw Posted February 9, 2015 MTA Team Posted February 9, 2015 If you want modules buy x32. I'm so unfortunate I bought a x64 Ubuntu. It is possible to install 32 bit MTA server in 64 bit OS
..:D&G:.. Posted February 9, 2015 Author Posted February 9, 2015 I followed all the steps and I get a different error:

It is possible to install 32 bit MTA server in 64 bit OS Yeah you just need to install additional 32bit libraries. I had it working on my x86_64 Magiea 5 linux (rpm based distro), I can't for the life of me get the client to work with any version of wine on it though, although i can play gta-sa just fine (i think i read that they are blocking multitheft from linux intentionally cause of some hackers, shame).
..:D&G:.. Posted February 10, 2015 Author Posted February 10, 2015 [quote name=..&G:..]I followed all the steps and I get a different error: Anyone any ideas what's with this error?
MTA Team ccw Posted February 11, 2015 MTA Team Posted February 11, 2015 What steps did you exactly follow?
..:D&G:.. Posted February 11, 2015 Author Posted February 11, 2015 What steps did you exactly follow? The first 4 from that topic, and then the normal steps (I deleted the folder and did the steps again)
..:D&G:.. Posted February 12, 2015 Author Posted February 12, 2015 Well, I guess I won't be using my VPS to host a server
MTA Team ccw Posted February 12, 2015 MTA Team Posted February 12, 2015 CentOS has been a problem for MTA. Sorry about that.
