Guest Posted August 10, 2004 Share Posted August 10, 2004 new is usually better, in this case thats far from true anyone who played mta 0.2 (not any of its spinoffs) know that in 0.2 the m60 fn rocked. it was a gun that you could actually use against stubby players and win. i cant be the only person who would like to see the m60 EXACTLY LIKE IT WAS IN 0.2 brought back. u know, before they BROKE IT with 0.3+ its getting annoying how the only "good gun" is the stubby for killing. the rest of the guns will get dominated by it in a ffa firefight as per what happens everyday in servers gun balance is one thing, what u guys did with the m60 completely and utterly ruined the game for many, as it made the stubby the dominant gun by far Link to comment

But truly the stubby is quite annoying I don't think that improving the m60 is a solution ; reconsidering the stubby is one But there I'll just repeat what a dev said: they are too busy for now, in terms of technical problems, so that they really didn't make a balance Give them the time, and they'll make a real gameplay, not a random shooting area like it is now (obviously it's normal, we're only in 0.41) Link to comment

Just by it's nature alone it's incredibly effective. I don't see what you mean by the M60 having changed. The only change I've seen is the decrease in ammo for it. Aiming has been improved to the point where I can actually use a long range weapon and hit folks now, so I just don't see where you're coming from. I've seen the long range guns used effectively, I've seen all the weapons used effectively with the exception of the meele (But that's because folks rarely get to use those) in .4. Can you be more descriptive as to how it's changed and what you don't like about it? Link to comment

In 0.4.1 the stubby isn't half as deadly as it was in 0.3 I can't use the stubby anymore because I wasn't a jumper or glitcher I just ran around and tried to time ppl with the aiming. The pause the stubby has after firing makes it a one shot you better hit thing for me. I refuse to glitch shots off like everyone who is sucessful with the stubby does now. I use the Secret Service and I think he is equal or better than any occupation. The Crusader is my second favorite now followed by the Cop or Sailor. The M60 is about a million times better than it was. Less bullets than version 0.2 sure but you don't need them all anymore. Also the Mp5 is great. The only point I'll agree on is that robber is still overused. Why not have a Crusader Spawn war for once... Vice City is bigger than a junkyard and it's sad to me when I see that clump of ppl grouped there. Link to comment
Guest Posted August 10, 2004 Share Posted August 10, 2004 my point about the m60 is that it used to be incredibly effective in all situations now it seems that if the other player is looking away from you and your behind him then your aim is thrown off. i do not remember this happening in 0.2.2 but now that it does it has screwed me outa way to many kills with an m60 to like it any more the new m60 works great when your facing the players, but if your target isnt aware/facing u it seems almost imposible to hit him thats my main complaint. the other would be from its changed rate of fire (or so it seems), and its decreased ammo among other things to deliberately weaken it lets face it, during wars 75 ammo isnt going to do shit for you Link to comment
