jfk003
Hello, I have a win xp and Vice City 1.1, and I've been trying to run MTA 0.4 I have to say that the previous version of MTA ran fine; Here, I get on the mainscreen, it says new game, I click on it then... - the standard gta loading screen appears - I see a kind of green hud, with a number going from 0 to 100 in the lower right corner (I suppose it's the mta new hud) and then the server welcome message + some chat messages, but then... - after not even a second on this screen, the standard vice city loading screen appears again, blocking everything : the computer did not crash, it is simply stuck (though I don't hear any ingame sound) , and the chat and welcome message are over this screen, though they don't move too.. I simply cannot understand why : I even reinstalled vice city, got my latest nvidia drivers (standard game runs fine btw)... If a dev could help me... Link to comment

orappa
The Vice City loading screen comes up because the new character selection screen shows previews of the spawn points, so it needs to load up the relevant areas of the map. Are you sure it actually crashes, or does it just take a long time (slow PC?)? Link to comment
Posty
Try changing the bracket at the top-right of the client to 1.1 or if its on 1.1, change it to 1.0. Link to comment
