Cray
Yeah, ok ... unfortunately we weren't able to modify the weapon.dat file as easily as some of the other files (like the scm), so we had to put in some hacks to get things to work properly. You are hitting a snag, obviously. What happens, is when you click start game, it attempts to move your weapon.dat file to weapon.original, and copy your weapon.mta file to weapon.dat. If any of this fails, you get the errors you are seeing. Once you disconnect / close client, it attempts to reset this. Possible solutions: - Make sure weapon.original does not exist once the Client / Game is no longer running (before you open up anything). If it does exist, make sure weapon.dat is the original file that came with the game (you may have to copy weapon.original to weapon.dat), and that only weapon.dat and weapon.mta exist. - Make sure read-only access it removed from weapon.dat. If it is on, potentially the Client will not be able to move it, therefore failing the process of renaming / moving / deleting the files. If it still continues, I have no idea at this point. Try different things! P.S. I renamed this thread so it is a little more apparent to others who will inevitably have this problem. Link to comment

This would make it a lot easier because we'll get hundreds of forum posts related to something as simple as that. Link to comment
