Stats - Km Driven, Avg Speed

Hello,

I want to add to my stats script the following stats;

Avg Distance driven per map

Avg Speed per map

I think this is kind of hard to script, that's why I'm asking here, what can I use? Any suggestions while scripting it? Which events to use?
