matthewserta
I really didn't know where to post this, So hopefully this will work... I have seen it done in the past, But basically what I want to do is broadcast my one server across Multiple IP addresses, Without having to run a different instance of the same server over and over. Basically, Valhalla did this a few years ago, when they were having issues with getting DDoSed, They had about 5 IP's and no matter what you connected to, if it was ddosed you didn't go offline. (Or if you did, it was only for a second until you connected to the other IP) Mainly I want to set this up due to of course ddos issues, as well as those random times when one of my connections drop but the other does not. I have 2x 1Gbps connections on my server, and if i want to use one as a backup, I as of now am having to do it all manually. Would be great if i could bind multiple IP's to the same server. Any suggestions? Link to comment
MTA Team 0xCiBeR Posted January 21, 2014 MTA Team Share Posted January 21, 2014 You can have multiple IPs, all pointing to the same Dedicated Server.Yo can buy extra IPs, and add them to your server- Link to comment
Wielebny
Try adding several IPs, separated by comma, to mtaserver.conf : 1.2.3.4,2.3.4.5 Link to comment

Wielebny
You don't have to believe me, but that's the correct way to bind on several IPs. Link to comment

Wielebny
Please read the original post and stop treating everyone like idiots. Everyone here knows that you can't just make up some ip addresses. Guy was asking how to technically bind server on several ips, and I gave him an answer. It's you who didn't understand what's going on here. Link to comment
