'LinKin Posted January 1, 2014 Posted January 1, 2014 Hello, Recently, I've noticed that MTA downloads are extremetly slow.. Even 563 kB lasts no less than a minute to finish. Why's that? My ping is normal. I don't think it's internet's problem
0 Machine Posted January 1, 2014 Posted January 1, 2014 theres alot of reasons to make your downloading slow , one of the best reason is the server connection , maybe the server your connecting to has slow upload , and dont look only on your ping show us your speed result from here http://www.speedtest.net/ possibly your internet connection is slow please answer these questions how much your internet speed is is your internet limited or open ( traffic ) do you run program's like torrent or download manager .....
0 'LinKin Posted January 2, 2014 Author Posted January 2, 2014 I've had this internet for so long, never had this trouble. Anyway I'm starting to believe there's something wrong with it because I get slow downloads in every server http://www.speedtest.net/my-result/3201636341 Deleted everything from MTA:SADirectory/mods/deathmatch/resources still no result
0 toxicsmoke11 Posted January 2, 2014 Posted January 2, 2014 Deleted everything from MTA:SADirectory/mods/deathmatch/resources still no result This can't fix internet problems.
0 Machine Posted January 2, 2014 Posted January 2, 2014 try to re install the mtasa , and if didn't work then format your pc , it might be virus or smth
0 'LinKin Posted January 2, 2014 Author Posted January 2, 2014 Is there a benefit by uploading only .zip resources to a server instead of normal folders? Does that influence in the clients' download?
0 Machine Posted January 2, 2014 Posted January 2, 2014 well zip resources are much better because when you download them , you download one packet that contain everything and thats the opposite with the normal folders which you have to download everything inside folder one by one , which will actually take more time and dont forget that zip actually make space less , so 100% zip resources are better however people like normal folders because they more easy to edit , cuz you dont have to extract the zip then edit it then put them back again inside zip , but i recommended using zip resources and zip files take less time when you download them
0 MTA Team ccw Posted January 2, 2014 MTA Team Posted January 2, 2014 Actually, there is no download benefit in having zipped resources on the server. The server always unzips them before use. An external HTTP server will boost download performance however.
