hi umm i heard of DDoS i don't know what does it do exactly but my server was once DDoSed and i don't have it anymore but anyway i wanted to ask how to make DDoS protection?or how to learn to make it(if its another programming language or something)

i know but i just want to know how to protect myself against it i mean like FFS probably gets ddos-ed a lot of times in one day and their server never crashes due for ddos

If you having host and you want to secure your server then you have to contact your server host to give you ddos protection, he may charge extra money otherwise you have to buy Cloudflare protection.

Actually, this is wrong. I'm living in the Netherlands and much of the people here are just simpely googeling for a DoS tool (please don't compare DDoS with DoS'ing) DDoS-ing is simpely using more networks (zombienet) (infected computers which are mostly trojan horses), so that hackers will use their internet to send packages of bytes to an server, to let it overload. It's true, the Netherlands has a great connection, you can down weak servers with your friends, but whats the point anyways of DDoS-ing or DoS-ing. The chinese people are constanl trying some things on your network out too, like connecting to the VNC port because some computers are very not well secured. Anyways, back to networking. You actually can't protect it without any knowledge of networking, also, this part: "they hacked my laptop and fu*ked my hard disk up", it might been a virus, or your just lack the knowledge of administrating your pc, or you don't have a proper anti-virus. And who exactly hacked your computer, mostly people are DDoS-ing out of anger, or are just roleplay server owners. Also, cloudflare is working like a backup and like a big database of people who are trying to hack you.

Use CloudFlare Free normally. During an attack, upgrade to CloudFlare Pro, activate their Web application firewall, monitor the attack real time and null route the attacking IPs. Also consider migrating the server permanently.

You aren't hurting me nor making me angry, I just want to know exactly what your mind is thinking of about a DDoS/DoS

Well, sorry to say, but I think that you are offending some dutch guys, just because you had in the past a fight with a dutch guy(maybe). Can you maybe tell us how you gained the "DDoS-ers" IP, and how would you prove to the dutch police that you was DDoS-ed by those IPs. You can report a DDoS-er to the police here in the Netherlands, but they don't do anything about it, mostly the internet providers are shutting the DDoS-ers internet down if there are too many complains, and trust me, most of them don't shut their costumers internet down. Also, most hackers are using a dutch server to attack an internet, and can you tell me exactly how your hard-drive crashed, was it like you said a "ddoser" attacked you, and then it suddenly it crashed??

actually, i was noob at this ddosing/hacking things, someone sent me file from skype and told me to open it, i opened then after 1 day, my server account got hacked and the hacker just ruined the server up(Example: Giving Rhino's banning people for money and using my name.)

well, when he hacked my account, he deleted my GTA and screenshot folder after using account on server then i got error from hard disk. my laptop was new btw

well, he didn't used proxy so i traced his IP from internet IP locater and software called "WireShark" then he spamed the forums with insultive material and used the same IP i got from IP locater .

i had "Good" Friend from Netherlands, he told me to give him proofs, i gave him and he told me that someone is ddosing him too, so he will report to NL police. he said "Cyber crime is illegal in NL". well he warned the hacker but didnt reported.

DDos attacks cant crash Harddisk or anything, attacks just stops your Internet for few hours/minutes.

The part of the sending a file might be a virus, you should use a virusscan, the part of the server getting admin with Giving rhinos might be just bad administration, or he just knews a admins password , luckely we got server-logs, so this isn't a big deal to just ban him (alltrough you can evade serial&ip bans, but with some knowledge you can stop this). The forum thingy is annoying, or you can just ban him there too. Cyber crime is indeed illegal in the Netherlands, but you just got so little proof, that the police/gouvrement can't do anything.

Anyways, let me tell you some points about the difference between a DDoS and a DoS.

DDoS(Distributed denial-of-service) is just simple more networks, how the hackers do it:

They are infecting other computers with a virus (mostly trojan horses) and then they have power of your computer like this image:

The computers which have acces to the internet are ofcourse then connected to the Attackers computer/server like this image:

They will send constant packages of bytes to the server, to let it overfloat. Like if you are sending 10 bytes to the server( for example a refreshing the page ) then the server will handle it, but if you are sending 1000bytes of data to the server, the server needs to download it, so if a attacker has 5000 bots in his network, he will send 5000*1000 bytes each second(depends on the attackers settings) to the server. So the server needs to handle all the requests, and then will become down because it can't handle it anymore.

Now, a DoS(Denial-of-service) attack.

This is the same as the DDoS attack but then simple without any bots or virusses involed, so only 1 IP, mostly it's more like pinging via the command-prompt, nowdays all servers can handle these bytes of one network.

In my opinion, just don't be a stupid retard, and don't DoS, it's useless, trust me.

Harddisk wasnt broked, it was corrupted but Virus.

well, when ever i "Waste" money, i always give money to poor people. in my car, I always have 500 coins for beggers/poor people.
