ok, i got this mp3 player from my friend and it works great. there is one downside. it is only win 95/98 compatible. do u think that its possible to edit the .dll files somehow to work with xp?

whats the name, model, and manu. of the player? Also my old rio was 98 only, but windows media player in nt systems can dl drivers for it and dl to it, might try that.

well, depends on what type of device it is, older ones had proprietary software which acted as drivers as well...thats how my rio was and its old app wouldn't run in 98mode, so i was boned until i found wmp could transfer to it

i mean the software 2 transfer the files 2 the player. it is an Audiovox MP-1000 (model # mp1000) compatibly mode dosent work
