MTA freezes with windows 8.

well hello MTA team, its my first time to use this sit, so please forgive me if i posted in wrong board or broke the rules.

well i'm CIT Player i asked many CIT players about Windows 8 and MTA , since yesterday/2 days ago our MTA's started geting frozen for 10-25secs some times it respond and work nromal then after 1-5mins same thing happens, anyway here is some logs from players confirmed that i'm not only one who gets frozen.

(LOCAL) [3]PFC-DeRip[AF]: MTA keep freezing for about 10-20 secs idk why
(SF) GHoST|Smoke*F: Same here derip

(D) PFC-DeRip[AF]: smoke you're able to close it from CTRL+DEL, ? task manger

(D) GHoST|Smoke*F: no i have to restart

(D) PFC-DeRip[AF]: me 2 wtf

(D) PFC-DeRip[AF]: windows 8?

(D) GHoST|Smoke*F: fuckin A right

(ALLIANCE) PFC-DeRip[AF]: anyone using windows 8 here?

also its not fps drop our FPS always 61-50 and when MTA back nromal we find that our FPS still 61-50.

so i guess it has something with MTA/Windows 8, not with my PC since more than 3 Players were geting same problem.

i hope you help us and tell us how to fix it

PS: when we press CTRL+DEL ( task manger) we won't be able to end MTA's Task, we have to restart PC to fix it.

this needs to be fixed or a solution needs to come up, asap its a big problem and its not just a few people its 100s of people with this problem

How often is the freezing?

There may be a common factor between players with this issue. Several MTADiag logs from different people who have experienced the freeze will be helpful. Could both derip and DixieDiesel55 provide MTADiag logs, please?

and it freezes up everyday atleast 3-5times depending were your playing in a server

Enable: Settings->Advanced->Debug setting->#0000 Log timing

Then note the exact time the freeze occurs and post another MTADiag log.

Please install the latest nightly, then press CTRL+SHIFT+F4 when a freeze occurs, which will make MTA crash. Then, upload the latest file from MTA\dumps\private to upload.mtasa.com.

I don't know if this will help at all but here is some freeze info for when I froze and done the CTRL+SHIFT+F4 thing to make it crash

That dump file is from a version before the freeze fix.

Please make sure you are using the file from here: https://nightly.multitheftauto.com/?mtasa-1.3.3-rc-latest

To check, press F8 to open the client console and type the command: ver

It should show build number 05685 or higher

Yes, that is correct.

The next time it freezes and you press CTRL+SHIFT+F4 to make it crash, make sure the dump file you upload has that number in the filename.

It might be easier if you zipped up MTA\dumps\private\ and uploaded that please.
