MIKI785
Hmm, there are spammers on my forum too and I didn't have this problem there. Link to comment
Woovie
This has nothing to do with spammers. Everyone gets it right now. If you open more than 5-8 URLs in a row, it times out for a little while. I'll bug the admins about it but I doubt they know the problem nor know a solution. Link to comment
MIKI785
The problem disappeared with my new internet connection... it's ok now for me. Link to comment
MTA Team jhxp Posted May 5, 2013 MTA Team Share Posted May 5, 2013 It has nothing to do with the spammers... not directly, anyway. Link to comment
iPrestege
What about make a 'CAPTCHA' code on register page i think it's a good idea . Edited May 7, 2013 by Guest Link to comment
Woovie
I've personally used CAPTCHA, reCAPTCHA, flash-based authentications, etc. Nothing will stop them. The bots do the registration mostly automatically, then they have some chinese 12 year old do the CAPTCHA portion so the bot will register correctly. It's really an endless fight. iPrestege
But why the Forum "VB" if it has a human verification code "CAPTCHA" there's no SPAM, but if there's no "CAPTCHA" code the forum will have a spams post topics . Edited May 7, 2013 by Guest Link to comment
Jaysds1
Think of it like this, you can't stop them either way. Bot's are created by other people, so either way the spam will continue... Link to comment
qaisjp
Disallow URL's for people who have only 1 post. This way the bot get's an error when trying to post and they don't make any real money because they're not advertising for much. Link to comment
Woovie
We found the issue and resolved it. I/O issues in regards to software RAID with OpenVZ. Should be a lot faster! Link to comment
