Guest Posted January 9, 2004 Posted January 9, 2004 alright il give u the quick version install the mta server in the mta directory C:\program files\mta for me download the config tool and install it run the config tool, everything from there is straitforward.

pH Posted January 9, 2004 Posted January 9, 2004 First of I wouldn't even play if I had 56k it's possible but it not a good idea everyone will time out! Server port: 2003 Admin port: 4003 To play on it u start MTAClient and join it with the Ip: 127.0.0.1

Ah, last question: If I use ADSL to make server, how many people can join? that question is like asking, "I live in a city, how many people are there?". Find out your connection specs, or do a speedtest and post your results. For great speedtests, go to: http://www.broadbandreports.com/stest?loc=97 and click "start test". then post the URL of your results and we can tell you how many people you can host.

Even when I only play with modem 56k, it's too slow T_T I'm going to have ADSL for this But I wonder why I must join my own server with IP 127.0.0.1 any other IP will be disconected... And how about the others, will they join my server with this IP?
pH Posted January 14, 2004 Posted January 14, 2004 The others join ur server with ur normal IP check it in ur network settings! I'm not sure why 127.0.0.1 but it connetc to ur local ip adress!
