MTA 1.3.1 wont even get past the splash screen [RESOLVED]

hey,

ive looked through the recent forums for answers to this and i have tried most solutions that people suggest

basically the splash screen appears, then that turns white, about 10 seconds later the screen goes black, followed by what looks like the application struggling to stay open ( it flashes between the black screen and the desktop)

ive used the diagnostic tool and here are the results

just to point out, it was working perfectly fine the other day, no new updates or anything related to Gta being changed

Why did you waste time reinstalling your OS? It looks like it just restored some system image since the driver versions are the same as your original logs.

Please try to install the following:

• Graphics driver 1
  
• Graphics driver 2
  
• Audio driver

Provide another MTADiag log after installing.

I need to see the output of MTADiag after MTA is run with the file MTA\coreconfig.xml containing this:

after using MTA Diag it asked me to update, so i updated the MTA this was an error that appeared

Nearly! coreconfig.xml goes into the folder called 'MTA'

i moved it and the flickering during the black screen ended quicker than before

Ok, thanks for that.

Now please:

1. Open this in windows explorer: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Grand Theft Auto San Andreas

2. Double click on gta_sa.exe (The one that is 14,047 KB)

3. When GTA has started go to Options->Display setup->Advanced and select the resolution 1366 x 768 if possible, or the next one down.

4. Quit GTA and retry MTA

the highest available resolution is 1280 X 768

and i cant see an option for changing the aspect ratio

Could you try 1.4? You don't have to uninstall 1.3 first as it installs to a different directory.

i tried it with both 1.3 settings and 1.4 settings both cause the exact same thing.

should i make a video so you can acutally see what it looks like when my MTA loads ?

Hmmm, 1.4 gave a slightly different log output.

Please try this new 1.4 patch and give a MTADiag log afterwards:

HOWEVER, i did a diag and the update for MTA then WORKED

its running in windowed mode on 1.4.something

why it decided to work i dont know

can i return it to fullscreen ?

SCRATCH THAT it works for about a couple of minutes

again the update is working fine but it will crash soon....

only problem is that ALL servers are 1.3 one is 1.4 and im just testing that one right now

ill post a diag regardless if it works

Thank you - Those 1.4 crashes may be a problem with 1.4 only, and not related to your issue.

Please try this patch for 1.3.1 and give a MTADiag log

it appears that something is fixed from 1.3.1 to 1.4 allowing it to be windowed but it still crashes

Unfortunately, MTADiag is overwriting the patch, so please follow these instructions:

1. Install this patch:

2. Run MTA
