MTA 1.3.1 wont even get past the splash screen [RESOLVED]

Question

hey,

ive looked through the recent forums for answers to this and i have tried most solutions that people suggest

basically the splash screen appears, then that turns white, about 10 seconds later the screen goes black, followed by what looks like the application struggling to stay open ( it flashes between the black screen and the desktop)

ive used the diagnostic tool and here are the results

just to point out, it was working perfectly fine the other day, no new updates or anything related to Gta being changed

Ok, please try this:

1. If you have a tray icon for Intel Graphics Driver, right click and close it.

2. Open Task Manager, select the 'Processes' tab and end all processes that start with igfx, e.g. igfxpers.exe

3. Right click on 'Computer' desktop icon and select 'Manage'

4. Select 'Device Manager' in the left column, then open the 'Display Adapters' category in the middle pane.

5. Now, there should be two entries there, one for NVidia and one for Intel. Right click on the Intel one and select 'Disable'

And then try this 1.3.1 patch:

That's interesting. Intel video is being used for the desktop, but games use Nvidia. Do you know how this is done? Is it an option in the NVidia control panel somewhere?

I'm not sure if this is really what you're talking about, but NVIDIA does have a technology called Optimus which changes between cards in heavier and lighter apps, so does AMD. You can also select which softwares to run with which card in the control panel - thought you knew that, and probably this has totally nothing to do with what you're talking about..
