madvillayo
yo, dunno if this is right section Okay so, i'm on 1.3. I'm in progress of making a drifting map, so i put a bridge. noticed it had no..road under it i went to put a road under it. Found one which looked right, but i can't click it..at all. cursor just goes through. No text pops up. Problem is, i went to open my older version of the drift map (i saved it only with the bridge, not the road) and i accidently saved. Is there anyway to remove it? Thanks in advance the road has a surface too, btw. Just that its sideways in the bridge and can't rotate it since i can't click on it ._. Also, i can't undo..:l Edited December 13, 2012 by Guest Link to comment
uhm
Assuming you're using map editor? Then check out the object list: If you select it there, you're good to keep on editing. Link to comment
madvillayo
Sorry for the bump, was gone for a bit. Yeah, map editor I mean in this: http://i951.photobucket.com/albums/ad35 ... -57-92.jpg Its already placed, and has no surface clickable I'm not sure if theres a way to remove it considering the whole map is mainly done: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mpo3IggrKGk Link to comment
uhm
Yeah, that's why that object list should help out. It's a GUI and you can literally just scroll through every object you placed without having to click on the actual object. Link to comment
madvillayo
Yeah. You're able to target it, but no options come up in the interface, if you get what i'm saying haha. English is bad Link to comment
myonlake
It's stupid, I know. I think you can't do anything about it. The official developers could try to make a change to it if they see this thread. This thing is really annoying sometimes. Link to comment
TheFunction
There was a solution, I forgot. If I find it on how to do it, I will post it. Link to comment
uhm
I keep thinking of the cursor with a red outline... I forgot what it's function was, might it be for this purpose? Press E and then target the road as you normally would This may be completely unrelated though, forgive me if it is Link to comment
madvillayo
The red cursor didnt work, considering just to cover it up with something >. Link to comment
Ab-47
Press "E" and try to find a point where you can get the ID information. If that doesn't work, I'd suggest to press "F" and search through: "Current Elements" double click the object you want to remove, or you can isolate the object. Once you've gained control of the object, click "Del" if you wanted to remove it, do whatever it is you're trying to do, like move it or something. If it's not doing you any good, I'd suggest to CTRL + Z it, only if it's the last object to be placed. If that's not the problem and you cant see the object in the list, spawn another object, I'd say a trash can or something, then check the current elements list again it'd be right at the end. Then you can easily get rid of the trash can or w/e using del. Link to comment
Inferno1911
That usually occurs for me when the model has no collision mesh associated with it. You can easily remove it by finding out what its name or ID is, then using the current elements list to delete it or you can manually remove the line corresponding with it from the .map file or Link to comment
