Mossy Posted October 31, 2012 Posted October 31, 2012 Well I'm in New York and our area got hit pretty hard. Good news is we got a new modem and school's out for the week Here's what happened 2 blocks away (links cause the pics are too big): http://i.imgur.com/iEpKx.jpg http://i.imgur.com/sD82J.jpg Glad we got power restored early, I couldn't stand another day in the dark.
Ransom Posted October 31, 2012 Posted October 31, 2012 That's some high powered stuff bro. My local weather was affected with 40MPH winds and blowing rain for 2 days and I live by South Bend, Indiana. Quite a far ways inland. Lake Michigan had 60mph wind and 18-22FT waves. Too bad I couldn't go see them.
Marc_Leeson Posted November 1, 2012 Posted November 1, 2012 I remember pics like these especially the ones with Laguardia airport flooding, lots of impact. Though seeing the NYSE get back on power and resume trading after just 2 days, and having Bloomberg ring that opening bell showed the recovery and changes coming. Stay strong my friend.
CapY Posted November 1, 2012 Posted November 1, 2012 I have read about that hurricane Sandy today, here's a video footage of it: The city looks awful right now...
zerb Posted November 1, 2012 Posted November 1, 2012 RIP to those who weren't lucky enough to survive. We might be on this earth for billions of more years but nothing can defeat nature.
