GTA units to meters

How many meters in a one GTA unit?

I am creating a car's mileage system and I don't know how to convert units to meters.

According to http://gta.wikia.com/Unit , GTA unit IS meter.

There really is no right answer, since the GTA world itself is not quite "consistent" wrt. scale. As a general rule of thumb, you can do like CrystalMV says and assume 1 unit per meter.
