francisuk22 Posted July 31, 2012 Posted July 31, 2012 Depends on your upload speed, Thats why most people have VPS / Dedicated Servers
fetko Posted July 31, 2012 Author Posted July 31, 2012 so what should i do if a want to get other players connected to my server if they are not conneceted on my local network ??
francisuk22 Posted July 31, 2012 Posted July 31, 2012 you would need to port forward from your router http://portforward.com/english/routers/ ... A_R1.0.htm then give your public ip to your friends not the 192.168.1.3 - get it from whatsmyip.org
fetko Posted August 1, 2012 Author Posted August 1, 2012 thanks a lot and if my router is not in the list than what i am supposed to do ??
fetko Posted August 1, 2012 Author Posted August 1, 2012 okey okey.. i found it but i´m not very good at english and even not in programming but here is my router http://portforward.com/english/routers/ ... tguide.htm what should i put into private IP, private and public port ?? and protocol type ? both ?
francisuk22 Posted August 2, 2012 Posted August 2, 2012 I got this picture from a google search but i have filled in for you. Then go to http://www.whatsmyip,org and it will say "Your IP Address is XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX" Give you friends "Your IP Address is XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX" then the port so e.g 33.33.33.33:22003 Or take a look here.... http://portforward.com/english/routers/ ... A_R1.0.htm http://portforward.com/english/routers/ ... ftAuto.htm http://portforward.com/english/routers/ ... t_Auto.htm
