Streaming memory

I find it weird that the "Streaming memory" option only allows me to set it to 256mb max. My video card is supposed to be 1GB. I don't know how GFX cards work, but plain logic tells me that the maximum available memory should be 1GB then.

Is this an issue or just the way things work?

Sorry, but this is just the way things work.

Plus, the streaming memory gets the amount of memory available then gives you the max and the minimum.

Usually it gets the max from the GTA.
