MTA:SA Hangs after "Stop Playing With Yourself" Screen

Hello, first post here!

I seem to be having a problem with MTA:SA 1.3. When I click start game on Steam it shows the splash screen and changes my theme from Windows 7 Aero to Windows 7 Basic like usual but nothing happens after that. This only happens through Steam though, because if I launch it from the icon it works fine but I want the Steam overlay because me and my friends group chat with it. The game doesn't crash because it doesn't come up with a not working screen and it is running in the processes tab of the Task Manager. I have to restart my computer after this because I can't end gta_sa.exe in processes because it says "Cannot end gta_sa.exe: Access is denied." but I can end mta:sa just fine. This is an unmodded version of GTA:SA and I have installed a No-CD crack to be able to play MTA with my steam verison. Any help is appreciated.

EDIT: Already tried deleting the "gta_sa.set" file and I do not have nView Desktop Manager even though I am running a GT520.

Try removing d3d9.dll from your GTA:SA directory temporarily to see if that solves the issue.

It worked! I guess I won't be able to use updated graphics anymore but it doesn't matter. Thanks a lot!

It is in the GTA Directory If you install a Grafic Mod.If you haven't Any Grafic Mods Installed then you won't have the File.
