Sorry to undoubtedly piss you all off with this question but i cant seem to found an answer or figure it out:

im on a Lan and i want to host a game, i set up the details for theserver using server config tool and the window that opens says the server has been started successfully.

the problem is i have no idea what i do now? im sure that sounds stupid but can someone give me a really detailed rundown on what i do next.

This step by step is only to assume that you know your IP address and you plan to use your admin tool included in the MT download.

1. Download the following files from the MTA website.

A. MTAServer-Win32-0.2.0

B. ServerAdmin

C. Serverconf024

2. Take all the files from “ServerAdmin” and “serverconf024” and place them in the “MTAServer-Win32-0.2.0” folder.

3. now place the MTAServer folder any where you want, that will be easy accessible for you.

4. activate DEDconfig

A. Type the name that you want for your server.

B. choose how many

C. leave the port in its default

D. if the ASE button says “Disable” do not touch it. It needs to say this to register in the ASE network

E. if you want someone to get in with a password then set it on the “Server Password.

F. the Admin panel. Click the “Enable” and the “Allow”

G. set up your port to 400X with X bing what you want and your firewall will handle.

H. and then your password.

5. Click the “Save Settings & Launch Server.

6. you get a dos prompt box and that is that (But there’s more)

7. Now click on MTAAdmin.exe

8. leave the Username as default and type the password that you had chosen.

9. your IP address should be set in there. If it is not then type it in.

10. Type in the Port number that you had chosen the “400X” number

11. hit connect and you should be up and running, Refresh ASE 1 or two times and you should be listed on top if you have the sorting by ping chosen. That’s about it. If this does not work then you may need to check your firewall, You have one right?
