Creating a database file and linking a script to it

Hi,

Today I wanted to know if it's possible to create another database file where the "internal.dbs" file is and linking a script to it?

For example, If I want to make a Clan/Gang Resource and i don't want to link it outside or on the internet but only on my computer, is it possible to do this?

If you don't have a private server then use a XAMPP.

but, I have to still use host,username,password,etc to connect it to the database i want to create.

You may want to take a look at the new DB functions (just for nightly yet):

It allows you to create your own SQLITE databases and connect to them.

1.2 haven't realised yet. I think that a small group people will be using mta mysql because a lot of people have a resources based on mysql by ryden.

They also work in 1.1 nightly builds as it says in the wiki.

To be honest it is slower then mysql by ryden but i am not sure.

Yeah, maybe, but Ryden's MySQL module cannot load SQLITE databases, and this one can, since Jaysd was looking for that, Ryden's won't help him.

For bigger server i prefer Ryden's MySQL module, other way you can use what you want - xml, files, SQLLite, MTA DB etc.

MTA's mysql system is faster and much simpler than ryden's module. Any function that might be missing can be scripted manually.
