My friend needs help with his laptop drivers...

blurryshadow1

Question

Hey my friend needs some help :|.. my friend had a virus which destroyed his internet and made his laptop un use able so he had to use a windows xp sp3 installation disc to get rid of the virus... his computer is a compaq presario cq50 cq50-215nr which was a vista before he installed xp.

later after the installation was finished we found out that HP/Compaq doesnt support windows xp drivers for this series of laptops.. so after some long searching we were able to somehow find some drivers.. and well he installed them but for some reason he still cant play any games at all such as grand theft auto san andreas....

there is also some really wierd lag thats going on in his laptop. He says it lags when he opens up tabs/programs like firefox skype, etc... I dont really understand cause his laptop is over twice as better as mine and i installed the same xp too on my laptop.. His should run faster...

Okay well i anyways heres his dxdiag report... I Hope this isnt too much to handle towncivilian if your helping us..

YEESSS, Everything is working just fine now for my friend, no more wierd serious lag, he can play games like san andreas again, and now his laptop is way faster than it was when he had vista. Hes getting better fps in alot of his games, better loading times, and he says his laptop boots up in around 15secs now.

thanks a lot town your the best :D, i like people like you who know their stuff and actually use it to help people.
