Towncivilian Posted February 24, 2012 Posted February 24, 2012 2GB of RAM is barely usable these days. With the integrated video card using some of the system memory, you're gonna be really low on RAM. You should get at least 4GB.
12p Posted February 24, 2012 Author Posted February 24, 2012 'kay, thanks for the tip. So, taking the RAM theme out. Is that computer fine to be used by 2-3 years?
karlis Posted February 25, 2012 Posted February 25, 2012 what i see is low fps with the hd2000, notice the game is running on such a low resolution that you will never use, as you will get more or less good cpu, the gpu will really bottleneck the system, integrated gpus are bad.
12p Posted February 25, 2012 Author Posted February 25, 2012 Well, I'll use my actual NVidia GeForce 6200 AX in that new PC then. And when I can, I'll buy a PCI-Express.

Towncivilian Posted February 25, 2012 Posted February 25, 2012 AGP is an obsolete port. PCI-E replaces it.
12p Posted February 25, 2012 Author Posted February 25, 2012 Probably at April I'll get enough money to buy +2GB RAM plus a PCI-Express. Though the only thing I want is to play my actual games without lag, I don't care about e.g. Skyrim.
karlis Posted February 26, 2012 Posted February 26, 2012 without dedicated video car you will even have problems with fps in mtasa. I've seen players with better dedicated card (3000) having 20-22fps average.

Jesus cries, people play on my server with HD 2000 with max fps (except moments with a lot of smoke, but it even lags on 8600GT then )
karlis Posted February 26, 2012 Posted February 26, 2012 what resolution? i've seen terrible fps on them.
12p Posted March 1, 2012 Author Posted March 1, 2012 Nope. But it's gonna be soon. VERY soon. Video: Video card must be 128 MB or more and should be a DirectX 9-compatible with support for Pixel Shader 2.0b (ATI Radeon X800 or higher / NVIDIA GeForce 7600 or higher / Intel HD Graphics 2000 or higher). Taken from: http://www.halflifeportal.com/portal-2- ... quirements Just google "portal 2 requirements" and click in any result. HD2000 IS THERE. More proof about why this is a good integrated card:
karlis Posted March 1, 2012 Posted March 1, 2012 what's the frequency of the gpu? there are few different. and that silly 15fps proof...doesn't prove anything, its unplayable that way. And i'm sure you wont have the 1450mhz on ur one, as its i3, not i5. dont get me wrong, im just saying that you shouldnt expect that it can run such things decently. check these benchmarks: http://www.anandtech.com/show/4083/the- ... -tested/11 also note the resolution, i doubt you will be using 1024x789. PS: dont think you expect to use gta IV, but intel gpus are not supported
12p Posted March 1, 2012 Author Posted March 1, 2012 Fine, actually I'm playing SNES, Counter Strike 1.6 and Stepmania, so I don't need too much power.
12p Posted March 3, 2012 Author Posted March 3, 2012 BUMP! YAY I GOT THE NEW i3 COMPUTER IM SO FUCKING HAPPY :DDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD
12p Posted March 4, 2012 Author Posted March 4, 2012 Finally I can watch 720p videos in YouTube without any lag at all Thanks to the goddamn great i3 processor! I'll now install and try TF2 and see the real potential
karlis Posted March 4, 2012 Posted March 4, 2012 run the source engine benchmark on low, middle and high gfx, and post results here
12p Posted March 4, 2012 Author Posted March 4, 2012 No lag. Absolutely no lag. At least with a 1024x768 (monitor resolution) plus High textures detail and Medium models detail, no lag. Haven't tried on higher settings but that is enough for me. HELL YEAH.
CapY Posted March 4, 2012 Posted March 4, 2012 Do all on highest details. ( Just Cause 2 on 1600x1200 for example ). That's how I do.
12p Posted March 4, 2012 Author Posted March 4, 2012 Lol'd. I'll try (except Antialiasing) after I download all Great Teacher Onizuka episodes .
RiD Posted March 4, 2012 Posted March 4, 2012 Finally I can watch 720p videos in YouTube without any lag at all Thanks to the goddamn great i3 processor! I'll now install and try TF2 and see the real potential Lol you made me laugh because I've been watching them on my phone since November 2011.
Towncivilian Posted March 5, 2012 Posted March 5, 2012 Huh, I thought I posted in this thread requesting a dxdiag log. I guess the forum burped.
