Whenever, more than 1 people join the server, the network problem popup on the middle of the screen with red color. We are using VPS. The specification is listed below:

Node Slave11

Disk Space 60 GB

Virtualization Type (OpenVZ)

Operating System Debian 6 32-BIT

Bandwidth 500 GB

Memory 512 MB

Burst 1 GB

That is really annoying.

You should be able to run a small server just fine - are you sure your ports are forwarded properly? Use the 'openports' command to see if they are.

Yep they are. The server just messed up when there is only a person join. What is going wrong?

Not that I know of. Perhaps give me the IP and I can test?

I am sorry it's not for public as the owner said. BTW many people are using the same VPS to host 500 players on sa-mp. But it doesn't works with a single player in MTA.

Try using the default MTA ports. Probably won't make a difference, but worth a shot.

I told the server manager to change the port but he said that 7777 is widely used on net and won't make any difference. I guess it's MTA's problem.

VPSes generally aren't very good with MTA. What service are you using? I know a few in particular that should definitely not be used for MTA.

Never heard of them so I wouldn't know if they're one of the faulty VPS services.

What about maps? Do you have a large map download size (1MB+)?

Nope. We have like 50mb download size and the map is actually 300kb. Except that we are using some shaders, custom objects, custom weapons and some custom skins. And like I said, we have used semoweb to host 500 players on sa-mp so it wouldn't be a problem.

Hm, I can't say I know the answer then. Large maps have been causing bandwidth issues on 1.1, that's what I figured was happening. Sorry I can't help anymore.
