MetaGamer
Whenever, more than 1 people join the server, the network problem popup on the middle of the screen with red color. We are using VPS. The specification is listed below: Node Slave11 Disk Space 60 GB Virtualization Type (OpenVZ) Operating System Debian 6 32-BIT Bandwidth 500 GB Memory 512 MB Burst 1 GB That is really annoying. MetaGamer
What are the requirements to run Linux server? Link to comment
AGENT_STEELMEAT
You should be able to run a small server just fine - are you sure your ports are forwarded properly? Use the 'openports' command to see if they are. Link to comment

AGENT_STEELMEAT
I'm not sure. It could be a version conflict, try updating the server to the latest release version of MTA, and ensure that all your clients are using the same version. Link to comment
MetaGamer
yep it's the latest version. It works properly on my local server. But just got messed up on the vps. Is there any settings on Debian that I have to change? Link to comment
AGENT_STEELMEAT
Not that I know of. Perhaps give me the IP and I can test? Link to comment
MetaGamer
Not that I know of. Perhaps give me the IP and I can test? I am sorry it's not for public as the owner said. BTW many people are using the same VPS to host 500 players on sa-mp. But it doesn't works with a single player in MTA. Link to comment
MetaGamer
P.S The server ping is 150 Link to comment
AGENT_STEELMEAT
Ok then. Are you using a 64-bit or 32-bit debian? Link to comment
MetaGamer
Operating System Debian 6 32-BIT Link to comment
AGENT_STEELMEAT
Okay, good. I still think the problem lies in the port forwarding, can you post a log of what 'openports' returns in the console? Link to comment
MetaGamer
Testing ports... Port 7900 UDP is open. Port 7777 UDP is open. Port 22005 TCP is open. Link to comment
AGENT_STEELMEAT
Try using the default MTA ports. Probably won't make a difference, but worth a shot. Link to comment
MetaGamer
Try using the default MTA ports. Probably won't make a difference, but worth a shot. I told the server manager to change the port but he said that 7777 is widely used on net and won't make any difference. I guess it's MTA's problem. Link to comment
AGENT_STEELMEAT
It's best to give troubleshooting a shot. Link to comment
MetaGamer
It's best to give troubleshooting a shot. Still no luck. Does it happen because of mysql module. We are using that. Link to comment
J.S.
VPSes generally aren't very good with MTA. What service are you using? I know a few in particular that should definitely not be used for MTA. Link to comment

J.S.
Never heard of them so I wouldn't know if they're one of the faulty VPS services. What about maps? Do you have a large map download size (1MB+)? Link to comment

Do you have a large map download size (1MB+)? Nope. We have like 50mb download size and the map is actually 300kb. Except that we are using some shaders, custom objects, custom weapons and some custom skins. And like I said, we have used semoweb to host 500 players on sa-mp so it wouldn't be a problem. J.S.
Hm, I can't say I know the answer then. Large maps have been causing bandwidth issues on 1.1, that's what I figured was happening. Sorry I can't help anymore. Link to comment
