0 jkMonger
I'm not really portforwarded, I just bypass it by using uTorrent (it allows connections). And where can I find mtaserver.conf? Link to comment

0 eAi
I can't really understand that utorrent tutorial, but that setting in utorrent is for setting the port it uses - not MTA's port. You need to forward 3 ports, two UDP (22003 and 22126) and one TCP (22005): https://wiki.multitheftauto.com/wiki/Ser ... forwarding Link to comment
0 jkMonger
I've forwarded 22003, but my router does not allow portforwarding... Link to comment
0 eAi
Well, you'll need a new router then. I've never seen a router that doesn't allow port forwarding though. Link to comment
0 dzek (varez)
I've forwarded 22003, but my router does not allow portforwarding... how did you forwarded a port, when you can't port forward? o_O Link to comment
0 jkMonger
I. Used. UTorrent. Link to comment
0 dzek (varez)
uTorrent is application for warez (mostly) not for port forwarding -.- Something totally different. Not connected with port forwarding at all. You can't play MTA with Ms Paint or Excel, and you can't forward ports with uTorrent. Link to comment
0 jkMonger
You can forward ports with uTorrent, considering I HAVE DONE IT many times in the past, and from your responses I assume you haven't. Link to comment
0 dzek (varez)
This is not port forwarding. This is setting for incoming connections port (you still have to port forward this port!). If you set it right - you will be able to get more peers while downloading some stuff. Nothing more. While I was laughing on this crazy idea, i run uTorrent, followed your tutorial, set port to 80, saved, then tried accessing my current external IP 91.150.166.2 via TCP - with no luck So PLEASE BELIEVE ME - this is not port forwarding. Really. Trust me. Link to comment
0 jkMonger
Port 80 is one of the few ports blocked by the uTorrent, so PLEASE BELIEVE ME that I know what I am talking about. Link to comment
0 dzek (varez)
right, i'll try 22003 now, lol edit: hehe, could not bind on interface (null) and port 22003 (because port is already in use by uTorrent), WHAT A SUPRISE again: you don't know how networking is working i think, but i know it, i have even a certificates from CISCO Systems, so the only thing you can do is to believe me that what are you doing is pretty random and useless. Forward your ports on your router to solve your problems. Link to comment
0 jkMonger
You run the server and THEN run uTorrent, WHAT A SURPRISE Again, please either learn what you're talking about or shut up. I have used the uTorrent method for my SA-MP server, and my RSPS, both of which only use 1 port, hence why they work successfully. The reason it works, is because you run the server and then run uTorrent, which effectively opens the port as it accepts incoming connections on that port. P.S. I have never met such a stubborn moderator. Link to comment
0 dzek (varez)
Tested again Port 22003 UDP is closed. Players can not join! The only thing uTorrent can change is when you are directly connected to your external IP, and your firewall is blocking incoming connections, and uTorrent is probably auto-avoiding some firewalls (uTorrent can't listen on that port anyway, but it enables communication). That's all magic. "Opening ports" via some applications would require addional (external) server (and ping would increase). uTorrent is just a small application, not a huge company with millions of servers PS. I'm stubborn just because I'm right. Why you are so stubborn? Link to comment
0 eAi
dzek, please calm down. The reason this works is really a bug in utorrent. If you open utorrent after MTA, utorrent can't bind to the port you specify, yet it doesn't tell you that. It still does UPNP port forwarding though, so it works. Try downloading this: http://www.codeproject.com/KB/IP/PortForward.aspx - it works the same way utorrent does, but should let you forward multiple ports. Link to comment
