SA's PS2 version of 2 player free-roam/Co-op gaming modes

Newbie to MTA here and GTA:SA Multiplayer in general.

I have played the 2 player mode of the PS2 version of SA (basically free-roam with 2 characters). I just want to know if that game mode is possible with 2 players over LAN with MTA? If not, what is the closest thing in MTA?

Is there a 2 player version where police just continually attack you, or where pedestrians have weapons and attack you?

Also recommendation of good maps to play with just two players will be very much appreciated. I am looking for any good co-op type of scenarios/maps for a minimum of just 2 players, preferably with enemy AI/NPC.

ZDay gamemode by Slothman has zombie bots, but they have no weapons. I don't know any other gamemodes which have AI enemies.

I made a gamemode called "teamwork", players vs. SlothBots, but it was too buggy and I decided to don't release it.

Always, you can script it by yourself. That's not very hard
