slap-a-hoe
I just got MTA and just started using it and got a couple questions. I dont play multiplayer which kinda defeats the purpose but this is the easiest map editor I found So... Can I make single player maps with this? Can I move and delete stuff from the game? All the original stuff from the game And can I re texture objects in the game? Link to comment
0 Xierra
Well you want to make a map here to play it in singleplayer? Bad choice, but I'll try to find a way. 1) Yes you can, after you made it, you can use a converter to convert the map you made, It's a bit complicated though if you want to use it unless you understand the Resources. Also there will be no rotation, so I don't recommend it. 2) If you wanna move / delete native part of GTA SA map, no you can't. 3) It depends, you have to make it yourself or take a texture from a modding website and use it. It's a bit complicated though if you want to use it unless you understand the Resources. Your alternative is the MED map editor for singleplayer. True, it's the only one possible. We don't recommend to making maps for singleplayer. Link to comment
0 slap-a-hoe
Ok I dont know how to convert stuff yet I think I might have a way of making a single player map but it might be a real pain in the ass Is it possible to make a map on MTA, write down all positions and numbers and stuff of the objects I have in my map then find it on another map editor and do it like that? I figure the hardest part would be finding the stuff I need but if I have the positions I should be fine? Right? And how can I use my own textures in my maps if it wont use a modded GTA? And one more thing, sorry....but is there a way to put in a already wrecked car in the game and make it not move? And turn on emergency lights on police cars when I'm not in them? Link to comment

And how can I use my own textures in my maps if it wont use a modded GTA? Hmm, this need scripting. You will need this: https://wiki.multitheftauto.com/wiki/EngineImportTXD You will have to spent some time to get to know how scripting is working: And one more thing, sorry....but is there a way to put in a already wrecked car in the game and make it not move? And turn on emergency lights on police cars when I'm not in them? No need to be sorry Yes, it's all possible in scripting. After you get the basics of lua (this could help you a lot, thanks to robhol) https://forum.multitheftauto.com/viewtop ... 91&t=27675 you should check: https://wiki.multitheftauto.com/ and search for the functions you will need Link to comment
