Hello all. I'am a pawn scripter on SA:MP but I see that MTA its more good than SA:MP...

I only want to know. If you know pawn will be more easy learn LUA or LUA its totally different?

They're fairly different - but Lua is an easier language than Pawn - it's generally more forgiving.

I'd follow the tutorials on the wiki to get a feel for it, but I reckon most people who have any experience programming in any language could pick up the basics of MTA scripting in a day or two.

It may be hard at first but after couple of days/weeks (depends how quick you learn) you understand it. It has different syntax but it's more friendly and you don't have to pay attention to variable types.

It's always easier to learn new scripting/programming language if you know one or more already than if Lua was your first scripting language. So, don't be afraid.

PAWN is more difficult for sure, it might take you a while to figure everything out but after that you'll be able to say: "Lua makes more sense" anyways here are some good sites that could help you out:

https://wiki.multitheftauto.com/wiki/Main_Page

http://robhol.net/guide/basics (Currently not accessible)

http://lua-users.org/wiki/TutorialDirectory

And if you need any help feel free to ask it on the forum in the scripting section or on irc (Server: irc.gtanet.com Channel: #mta.scripting)
