Serious freezing issue

GaussHog

Question

I haven't played long enough in other servers to see if this occurs elsewhere, but I play in the Valhalla RP server and after EXACTLY 30 minutes of gameplay, the entire game locks up and forces me to turn off my computer with the external power button, as I am unable to get my computer to respond to Ctrl-alt-del, alt f4, alt tab, etc.

This has forced me to get a timer and set it for 29 minutes and restart the game when it goes off to prevent this from happening, but I would, understandably, much prefer a longer, uninterrupted game experience.

I'm using MTA 1.0.3. I have downgraded to 1.0.2 recently, but the problem still occurred, so I switched back to 1.0.3.

Operating System: Windows XP Professional (5.1, Build 2600) Service Pack 2 (2600.xpsp_sp2_gdr.090804-1412)

Language: English (Regional Setting: English)

Processor: AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 3800+, MMX, 3DNow (2 CPUs), ~2.1GHz

Memory: 1536MB RAM

Page File: 668MB used, 2762MB available

DirectX Version: DirectX 9.0c (4.09.0000.0904)

Video Card: NVidia 7800 GTX (drivers fully updated as of Feb. 15, 2010)

I'm going to play in another server for 30 minutes and see if it freezes and then post back here. Has anyone had this issue? Anyone know how to fix?

if this happens every thirty minutes there are good chances that one of their advanced scripts is causing problem, you should ask them if there is anything they trigger every 30 minutes (like retrieving and/or saving huge amounts of data, etc) if you find any helpful information please post it, because in general no script should be able to produce a crash, a freeze or any other sort of block.
