XBOX 360 Controller?

Hey guys. MTA detects my Xbox 360 controller. I can use it to drive around.

However, it seems to lack functionality that is essential to driving with a controller in GTA... that is, when I'm driving, I cannot rotate my view around with the thumbsticks, and I cannot multipurpose bind some of the axis buttons.

This is kind of frustrating, after being so used to GTA IV with my xbox 360 controller, I was really hoping to be able to come back and play MTA with it, and not having to use my PS2 controller. I can't find my PS2 to usb converter right now anyway.

So has anybody had any luck with their 360 controller in MTA?

hey there, first check if you maybe have turned on mouse vehicle controls, i dunno why but this sometimes made me unable to rotate with the joystick as well. if this doesn't help you can use the free software xpadder you can assign mouse movement on joysticks there.

Switching to "joypad mode (classic controls)" allows the right analog stick to control the camera instead of the mouse.

And while it's true that only 1 function can be assigned to axes, you can bind several controls to the buttons - it's all set up on the "input" tab, not the "joypad" one.
