MasterOfQuebec
It may looks strange and useless (waste of time?) but I think that it could be a awesome feature. Having a web browser. Like: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wT1UR6qEgdg http://princeofcode.com/awesomium.php There could be something like createBrowser( float x, float y, float z, [float rx, float ry, float rz, float width, float high, string url, bool locked] ) locked parameter: false = navigation bar present, true = no navigation bar toggleBrowserFullsceenMode(browser theBrowser, bool tog, [bool smooth]) smooth parameter: If set to true the browser will smoothly move from his ingame position to the fullscreen position toggleBrowserBackground(browser theBrowser, bool tog) Set the browser background transparent. Security: Disable file downloads, disable popups (disable flash, javascript and any other protocols than http and https [no mailto and stuff...]?) Should be a Client and server functions. What did you think about it? (Also suggested on the wiki) Link to comment
subenji99
Just use the X-Fire in-game browser. Or the Steam Overlay. Or any number of other methods available. Seriously, you have no idea just how much effort would be required - an entire browser + rendering engine would need to be added to MTA - it's not worth it. Even if a 3rd party's work like awesomium's library were to be added, the most you could hope for is weird floating webpages in the world. I've actually seen an implementation of awesomium in a game already, and the ONLY good point for having it was having a large group of people all watching a (somewhat) synced flash stream at the same time - and even that got boring fast, and wasn't particularly stable.
