if i join a server mta says Bad version client 164 server 163

whats the problem?

164 is the MTA 1.0 version, 163 is the one of the last nightly. You're trying to connect to a nightly server with MTA 1.0. Try another server, or tell the owner of the server to update the server to 1.0.

It's not outdated.

Server owners have to build a 1.0 server (using code from branches/1.0 ) in order for it to work with 1.0 client, along with the network library for 1.0 (currently latest one available)
