Installed fine, I had v 2.0 gta sa (legal copy, freshly installed) and used the download supplied on this website to make it 1.0, no problems. It runs fine 98% of the time... it's just that it freezes every now and then, which can be a little annoying (I might 'wake up' having been killed by someone). It does this on all the servers i've tried, all with pings from 20-40 (no different for each). Gta itself doesnt do this, so it's probably not a fault with my hardware.. My firewall is turned off, and I have a consistent, good internet connection (1mb actual speed quite often). I think my hardware acceleration (?) is on minimum, but as I said, Gta sa works fine. [This problem also doesnt occur with other internet games i've played, like COD2] MTA DM is an amazing game - the best i've ever played - I just hope a genius out there can help me smooth this bump out.. Dark Dragon Posted November 23, 2008 Share Posted November 23, 2008 it happens sometimes when a gui element pops up. seems to have something to do with text rendering. should be fixed in dp3 as far as i know. till then live with it, many people got that. Link to comment
berlow Posted November 26, 2008 Author Share Posted November 26, 2008 UPDATE: I just tried MTA Race v1.1.1. (I thought it was running fine before, but couldn't remember) and the same thing happens! Someone said something in in-game chat about a setting I could change or a command I could type but I didn't think about it... If any genius is out there... plz help! p.s. i tried v.1.1.2. (race) also, but it froze on every connection, so I got v1.1.1 as was suggested. Link to comment
