Guest Posted October 27, 2008 Share Posted October 27, 2008 HI A year(or something) ago i played mta sa and it was great^^. Today i dowloaded the recent client(mta sa dp 2.3), and installed it. I have read about the problem with the broken serverlist and so i used game monitoring. But whenever i tried to connect to a server i got: "CONNECTION TIMED OUT!". Maybe i am connecting to wrong servers?(tried many of them and no one worked). I have read about to forward the ports. But isnt that only necessary if you want to host a game? and which ports? Can you give me a working ip(to test), too? hope you can help me Memnarch PS: GTA SA is ver 1.0 Link to comment

robhol Posted October 28, 2008 Share Posted October 28, 2008 The Game-Monitor based server browser that's been plaguing DP2.* is hopeless, IMO. IIRC (and I f*cking hope so! ) it is to be completely replaced in DP3. You can try this server: IP 85.17.6.48 Port 3333 If it doesn't work, try again 2min later. If it still doesn't work, you're f*cked. At that point, check routers and firewalls for port blocks. If you're not admin on your router/system, talk to them. Link to comment
